The 3rd LEVEL is a is a highly realistic 3D animated graphics software program, designed to train and assess your reach truck operators safely and conveniently via a standard desktop PC.

Developed by RTITB and Aim Solutions, use 3rd LEVEL to train and asses your drivers in a safe and convenient environment. Available on CD ROM, 3rd LEVEL costs £49.95 per license and allows you to install and run the software on a single computer.

3rd LEVEL training combines state of the art computer graphics, on screen graphics and voice-overs to clearly illustrate good and bad reach truck driving practice.

3rd LEVEL is a wonderful addition to your existing training materials, and further releases will build into a comprehensive library of titles, ranging from different load types to pre shift inspection and maintenance.

3rd LEVEL avoids using the written word as much as possible.

A print-out facility for your records is available.

The lessons are highly visual and engaging, using animation, sound and icons to communicate the often complex issues of operating a reach truck in a busy working environment

Once you have purchased the 3rd LEVEL, CD-Rom you will need to unlock your software, insert the disk and click unlock and follow the onscreen instructions.

ASSESSMENT

Training is important, but without proper assessment, how can you be sure of its success? How can you highlight a driver's true understanding of reach truck operation before they sit in the cab?

3rd LEVEL's assessment modules do this by using highly realistic 3D computer graphics, bridging the gap between limited paper-based tests and on-the-job assessments. The trainee must spot the dangers involved in operating a reach truck as they unfold in real time before them.

These ‘scenarios’ require the driver to recognise and respond to dangerous situations as they develop by pressing the space bar. The software logs these responses and compares them to a set of model answers.

3rd LEVEL replicates realistic and often highly dangerous practices that are impossible to test in any other way.

3rd LEVEL tracks the trainee's key presses and calculates a score based on how many instances of good and bad practice they correctly identified. 3rd LEVEL's scoring is purely indicative and should be used accordingly.

The accompanying print-out has a breakdown of all the issues they missed or spotted and can be kept for your training records.

It is always best to learn from your mistakes, and 3rd LEVEL's review feature helps your trainees do just that. The software logs the bad practice they failed to spot, and replays that clip alongside its accompanying training clip. This forms a short focused refresher course that picks up on just those areas in which the candidate is weak.
